Aeroponics :

Aeroponics is the process of growing plants in an air or mist environment without the use of soil or an aggregate medium. Aeroponic culture differs from both hydroponics and in-vitro (Plant tissue culture) growing. Unlike hydroponics, which uses water as a growing medium and essential minerals to sustain plant growth, aeroponics is conducted without a growing medium.[1] (See also: Wikipedia:Aeroponics, Agriculture, Hydroponics)

Aquaculture :

is the farming of freshwater and saltwater organisms including molluscs, crustaceans and aquatic plants. Unlike fishing, aquaculture, also known as aquafarming, implies the cultivation of aquatic populations under controlled conditions. Mariculture refers to aquaculture practiced in marine environments. Particular kinds of aquaculture include algaculture (the production of kelp/seaweed and other algae), fish farming, shrimp farming, oyster farming, and the growing of cultured pearls. Particular methods include aquaponics, which integrates fish farming and plant farming. (See also: Wikipedia:Aquaculture)

Artificial intelligence (AI):

is the intelligence of machines and the branch of computer science which aims to create it. Major AI textbooks define the field as "the study and design of intelligent agents," where an intelligent agent is a system that perceives its environment and takes actions which maximize its chances of success. John McCarthy, who coined the term in 1956, defines it as "the science and engineering of making intelligent machines." (See also: Wikipedia:Artificial intelligence)

Mariculture :

is a specialized branch of aquaculture involving the cultivation of marine organisms for food and other products in the open ocean, an enclosed section of the ocean, or in tanks, ponds or raceways which are filled with seawater. An example of the latter is the farming of marine fish, including finfish and shellfish e.g.prawns, or oysters and seaweed in saltwater ponds. Non-food products produced by mariculture include: fish meal, nutrient agar, jewelries (e.g. cultured pearls), and cosmetics. (See also: Wikipedia:Mariculture)

Terraforming :

(literally, "Earth-shaping") of a planet, moon, or other body is the hypothetical process of deliberately modifying its atmosphere, temperature, surface topography or ecology to be similar to those of Earth to make it habitable by humans. The term is sometimes used more generally as a synonym for planetary engineering. (See also: Wikipedia:Terraforming, Elysium)

The Millennial Project (TMP):

The first book to describe the The Millennial Project[1] was written by Marshall Savage. Among other things, it had the effect of inspiring the creation of the Living Universe Foundation. Since that time, however, technology has marched on, and so has our knowledge of what works, and what doesn't. Consequently, rather than accept obsolescence, a new book is being written.
